I have gotten so many requests lately for more home decor related posts and I'm happy to say that they're coming! I plan on doing a room by room tour of our house as we get spaces decorated so keep an eye out for the entryway + living room tour coming at ya real soon. But since a lot of you are military spouses or heading off to college or moving into your first apartment, I wanted to round up some inspiration for you today to deal with those dreaded white walls.
The walls of our home aren't actually white, they're more of a cream color which I'm not sure is better or worse. Apparently, there's a huge debate about whether or not white walls are boring or a grade A design choice but I wanted to share some spaces from around the web to hopefully get you inspired to tackle those white (or cream) walls in your home. I love how each of these spaces incorporates some elements of both old and new. I'm such a sucker for mixing styles and trying out trends and I think that each of these spaces succeeds in marrying a blend of different styles that are accented by the crisp, white walls. To me, who grew up in house after house with dark wood paneling, white walls mean light and bright and airy which are all three really good features to have in a house. At least military housing and college apartments have that going for them, yeah?
