March Favorites (2018) - Blogger Monthly Favorites!
This post contains affiliate links. Thank you, as always, for your support.
If you read the title and were confused by it, let me just say that this is not something I've done on the blog before. I typically reserve my favorites for a monthly YouTube video but if you follow me on YouTube then you know that I haven't been posting lately. YouTube videos take a ton of time and energy for me to put together and the filming and editing process can be quite tedious. So I've decided to take a step back from doing YouTube for now. The combination of writing four blog posts a week and producing one video on top of that (the videos are supposed to be a fun extra for you guys) has me worn thin. However, in a few months, once the wedding planning posts are pretty much done and we get moved, I may jump back into the YouTube realm. I plan on doing some vlogging over the next few months though!
With that being said, I've transitioned my typical favorites video into a blog post for you all to enjoy! My March Favorites will be the first, though I may go back and transcribe the other two monthly favorites videos into monthly favorites blog posts for my January Favorites and February Favorites videos. You all seem to love my Saturday Morning Coffee posts because of how laid back they are so I hope you will also enjoy this March Favorites post just as much!
My March Favorites:
Nashville - I've said this before on here but it has been a very long time since I've fallen in love with a specific city, NYC is the last. Despite not being there very long and not even doing any of the typical touristy things, I fell hard for Nashville. If you couldn't tell from last Friday's blog post or my Instagram feed, it seriously inspired my sense of personal style and I freaking love it. I felt so comfortable in my choices and just in Tennessee in general that it was really uplifting.
Target Universal Thread Sandals - The sandals featured in today's picture and like literally all over my Instagram since I got to Nashville are these Universal Thread flatform espadrilles from Target. They are the perfect pop of color for any outfit which is part of the reason why I love them. The other reason is that they are so freaking comfortable! I walked around Nashville in them for two days straight!
Harry Potter Instagrams - Starting a Harry Potter themed Instagram was probably one of the best things I've ever done. The Harry Potter content creator is so welcoming and sweet that it's really reignited my love for social media. Instagram can be a total pain in the you-know-what so I love that I did something that makes it purely for fun again.
Micellar Water - I've used Micellar Water in the past but hadn't used it recently until I got my eyelash extensions. I'm now obsessed with it again. I love how clean it makes my face feel without putting anything else on it. I haven't been oily or needed to wear makeup since I left Nashville. It's been quite a refreshing addition to my skincare routine.
Eyelash Extensions - I mentioned these in an SMC post at the beginning of the month but I'm absolutely obsessed with eyelash extensions. I love the way they make my eyes look and I especially love that it makes it that much easier for me to get ready in the mornings. I love to make my mornings productive and spending time getting ready just isn't one of those things. I'm going to have a full post on eyelash extensions coming in April so stay tuned for that!
Working Out Again - I fell off the workout bandwagon pretty hard this winter, which is a typical thing for me. My depression gets so bad in the winter months that it makes it very difficult to work out, especially when I get up so early to complete them. But I'm happy to say that this past week I've been back at it consistently and while I'm super sore, I am so happy to be getting my blood flowing and eating (somewhat) healthy again.
HelloFresh Meals - Y'all, I'm obsessed with HelloFresh now. I just ordered my third box! I can't explain how amazing it is until you actually try it because it just makes cooking so much fun for me. And don't even get me started on the menus! There hasn't been a single recipe I haven't like or have struggled to make. Even recipes that are super outside of my comfort zone! You can try HelloFresh for $20 for your first box and I HIGHLY suggest you give it a try! You won't regret it. Also, shout out real quick to their customer service who credited me $5 for a cucumber they forget to pack.
My Second Tattoo - I got my second tattoo while we were in Nashville and I'm so happy that I decided to do it (even if it was a bit pricey). I got the stars from the Harry Potter book corners and I absolutely love everything about it. It's already got me thinking about what I want next. If you're looking for a place in Nashville to get a tattoo, I highly suggest Hart and Huntington.
R. Riveter's Spring Launch + Fido Line - I mean, R. Riveter's bags are always amazing but I think the Spring 2018 collection is actually my favorite. They kindly sent me one of their newest colors, the Colonial Blue + Saddle Brown Leather Hobby and I am obsessed with the combination of the blue canvas and the light brown leather. I'm also eying a Patton in the Amber Waves color... They also launched a Fido line! The Fido line features leather leashes and collars and you better believe you'll be seeing Gatsby and Hemingway in these babies when we move.
