AM Coffee Talk #01 - I Got a PO BOX + Other Random Things!
Well hello there everyone and welcome back to the blog! Today's post is exciting because it's NEW. Yes! If you follow me on Instagram then you already know that I've switched things up a bit on the blog starting this week. For those of you who missed it (you can click here to follow me on Instagram, shameless plug), I announced that I would now be posting lifestyle content 3 days a week! So Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on the blog will now be dedicated posts. I loved the idea of Happy Hour in theory but I ended up writing actual content for those posts anyways so I figured I would switch things up a bit. This means WAY more content for you guys, which I love!
So what is this post, exactly? Well, every Saturday morning (hopefully, every Saturday but you know, life happens) I will sit down at my dining room table with a giant cup of coffee and reflect on the previous week. This means I'll get to chat with y'all about the things I'm loving, hating, or feeling meh about. I got the idea after seeing one of my all time favorite bloggers Carly do something similar called On My Radar on her blog. I love the idea of just a super casual post where I can share a little more insight with you all into my week and hopefully hear more about you all in the comments! So sit down with your own cup of coffee or beverage of choice (I'm actually just finishing my protein shake post workout) and chat with me!
ONE || P.O. Box
Probably the thing I am MOST excited about from this week is the fact that I GOT A P.O BOX FOR THE BLOG! If you didn't know, you're required by law to have an address attached to your mailing list if you're using email to send out newsletters or other information to individuals. For obvious reasons, I'm not about putting my actually apartment address out there for the world so I bit the bullet and got a P.O. Box. This is exciting because now YOU can send me stuff as well! Let's be pen pals: Darrian Michelle Blog, P.O. Box 523, Cornwall NY, 12518!
TWO || Stranger Things
ICYMI: Stranger Things Season 2 came out last weekend. I didn't finish watching it until Monday night after work but it was SO good. Seriously, if you have not watched Stranger Things yet you need to jump on this bandwagon. The characters are to die for and Steve and Dustin's season 2 bromance is everything. I'm living for it.
THREE || R. Riveter Holiday Collection
It wouldn't be the first week of November without Holiday collections being launched. I went into Bath & Body Works yesterday and they were already playing Christmas music. It's one of my favorite times of year, mostly because I get to spoil my loved ones. R. Riveter launched their own holiday collection this week and I am seriously DYING over it. There's something for everyone, honestly. I'm particularly obsessed with these hoop earrings and the leather Dopp kits. Don't tell Justin, but he's getting one of these for Christmas.
FOUR || 52 Lists for Happiness
I randomly went to TJ MAXX the other evening on the hunt for some workout gear and naturally, I had to browse around the entire store before I left. I always hit up the stationary section because they tend have the best notebooks but I was super stoked to find the 52 Lists for Happiness book in that section for only $10! I've been trying to journal a lot more so I figured this would be a perfect way to get into it on a nightly basis. There are all sorts of different prompts and I can't wait to start!
FIVE || November Goals
I don't know about y'all but I love setting goals for myself. There is something SO satisfying about physically marking off a goal at the end of the month. I probably have about four different types of goal lists going in my bullet journal right now. I started jotting a few things down that I want to accomplish in the month of November and here's what I have so far:
don't miss a blog post
upload more YouTube videos
read at least 1 book
pitch to at least 3 brands
get a P.O. Box
