AM Coffee Talk #19 - ROOLEE Boutique, Launching a Teespring Campaign, and more!
This past week has seriously tested my patience. Before I go on, let me be frank. I'm probably one of the least patient people you will ever meet. I get annoyed and frustrated very easily, especially when I feel threatened or things aren't necessarily going my way. This week was one of those weeks where it felt like every day was another Monday. Usually, I'm not one of those people who thinks Monday's are the absolute worst but this week was out of the ordinary in terms of Monday-ness.
But that's not to say that there weren't good things that happened this past week or that I didn't experience any enjoyable moments at all. That's why I decided to use a quote for this week's cover image instead of a random picture from the week like I typically do. I started working with someone on the rebranding of the blog and designing a logo which is SUPER exciting. I got to go to ShakeShack and spend time with my fiance just loving on each other and going on a date like we had just started dating, and I won a lottery for tickets to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child next Wednesday in NYC! So if there's one thing you take from this post today, let it be the quote I've featured because I truly believe in praising God for each day, regardless of how "Monday" it feels.
I also had a wild thought while writing this post so I wanted to include it and see if there was any interest: what if we made Saturday Morning Coffee a hashtag/blog link up? Let me explain, one of the goals I'm really striving for as this blog grows and changes is cultivating that community aspect of it. I would love to see you guys use Saturday Morning Coffee on your own blogs and Instagram and then we could all share and read each other's posts, almost as if we were all gathered around a table with our coffees and just chatting about our weeks! Maybe this is a crazy idea but if it is something Y'all would be interested in, let me know in the comments!
Now let's get to edition #19 of Saturday Morning Coffee!
ONE | My Second Bullet Journal
I started my second bullet journal this week after finally realizing that my first bullet journal was filling up fast. But with this new bullet journal, I knew I wanted to try something different than your typical daily bulleted lists and standard planning type of bullet journal. So I decided to make this bullet journal way more about journaling than planning because I think being super rigid about planning is actually not the best thing for my mental health, especially these days. I have enough of that with wedding planning and getting ready to transition us from West Point to the real Army right now. I stuck with the Leuchtturm again but opted for gray this time. I'm planning on posting a bullet journal flip through of both my complete first bujo and the new one soon!
TWO | Today Tix
Today Tix is great if you're looking to save money on seeing a play or musical while you're in NYC! This is actually how I won the lottery ticket for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I definitely recommend downloading the app if you like to see shows every once and a while because the app makes it super easy to score great deals on tickets. I got tickets to both parts of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for $40 which typically would have cost over $100 per part!
THREE | ROOLEE Boutique and Altar'd State
I have been struggling to find clothes that I feel are both age-appropriate and fit my personal style (as defined by my trip to Nashville). Everything these days seems to be cropped, two pieces, low cut, or see-through and while I know there are ways to incorporate all of these trends into my own wardrobe, it has made finding new additions to my wardrobe, especially for upcoming events, somewhat of a hassle. ROOLEE and Altar'd State are two places that I've fallen in love with recently where I actually have had some success finding things I actually want to wear.
FOUR | Launching a TeeSpring Shop
YOU GUYS. I finally launched a Teespring shop! Based on the results of the last reader survey, I've decided to start selling merchandise related to the blog! This means that you can now buy merchandise and directly support the blog! All of the proceeds of the items listed in the shop will go directly into making this blog the absolute best it can be and also help with the upcoming rebrand. Right now there is one design in the shop that can be ordered on either a t-shirt or a crewneck sweatshirt and I think you guys are absolutely gonna love the design. I plan on adding more as soon as possible so if you have any ideas, please send them my way! (Or if you'd like to design something yourself, you can always send them to me via email!). You are under no obligation to buy but please know that your support of this blog in any way, shape, or form means the world to me!
I'm cutting this round of Saturday Morning Coffee a little short today because I ran into a bit of a time crunch... Hey, it happens *insert shrugging emoji here* but please let me know your thoughts on the Saturday Morning Coffee link up! I would love to make SMC a real thing and it's going to be a huge part of the rebrand *wink, wink* so I just think it would be really incredible to bring this community to life even more!
