AM Coffee Talk #27 - Farmhouse Chairs from Amazon + Working with Forever 21!
What a week it has been, you guys! I am so excited to be writing a blog post for you, especially our beloved Saturday Morning Coffee posts. The SMC posts are going to look a little different from here on out with the way their written (more of just a sneak peek/behind the scenes look into my week) and with the link up included at the end. I can't wait to read all of your blog posts for the week!
Side note: Thank you to everyone who showed their love and support for the rebrand as it launched yesterday. I am so excited that you all are excited about the changes and all of the exciting things to come. If you haven't gotten a chance to join our Facebook group yet, definitely check it out because there are already some seriously amazing ladies in the group and I am loving getting to chat with them on
Update on the unpacking progress. We still have a few random boxes here and there (all of which has been resigned to the would-be guest room for now) and none of my clothes are put away because we have no hangers but the house is quickly coming together. Although we still have no idea when IKEA is actually going to be delivering our couch. But something exciting did happen this week and that was that I ordered dining room chairs for our table that we ordered from the Post Exchange. At least I can rely on Amazon and the PX to deliver items in a timely fashion.
Anyways, these are the dining room chairs I ordered. We're going with that modern farmhouse vibe so I knew that I wanted mismatched chairs and definitely didn't want to spend the outrageous amount of money the PX wanted for the chairs that actually matched the table. It took me longer than I want to admit to find these guys and Justin was definitely not sold on the metal chairs until they arrived, but I love both of the different styles we ordered.
As you all know, this week was also exciting because I busted my butt to get the new website up and launched. Man, I have a lot of respect for website designers because if you've ever put together a website you know how much time and effort it can take to just do even the basics. I couldn't be happier with how the website turned out and I truly hope it makes it easier to find exactly the type of content you're looking for when you need it! Also, if you need help designing a Squarespace website, holler at your girl cause I'm availble for hire.
On Wednesday we celebrated the 4th of July and kept the day pretty low-key. I actually spent the majority of the day off of social media which was a nice break after working hard on the rebrand all week leading up to Wednesday. Justin and I thought about buying a grill and grilling out but we couldn't decide on a grill that we wanted so we decided to just spend time with new friends instead. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with great company and even though it was so hot we enjoyed ourselves anyway. Also watching little kiddos run around and play with absolutely anything they can is fun and exhausting at the same time. This picture of the puppies in their 4ht of July bandanas that we picked up at the local farmer's market the week before is actually the only picture I took that day.
This week was also super exciting because I actually got the opportunity to work with Forever 21 to promote a Military Appreciation Event at one of their local stores here in the Peachtree Mall. If you're in the Fort Benning area the event is from 1-3pm today so swing by and say hey to me cause I'll be there! I was super excited to get the opportunity to work with such an amazing brand, even on a small level and I'm hoping that it will open the doors to more partnerships with them in the future. Here is a sneak peak of the outfit I picked out to wear for the event today!
Alright, y'all! I hope you enjoyed this little look back at my week. I can't wait tot see your blog posts from this week so if you're a blogger make sure to submit your link below so that we can all check them out!
