AM Coffee Talk #32 - Things I've Been Loving this Week
Happy weekend, Y'all! I hope you're gathered around with your coffee this morning and enjoying your weekend so far. First, let me start by saying I apologize that there wasn't a post on Friday. Honestly, Justin came back from the field at 5 am and I completely forgot that I hadn't written anything the night before and wouldn't have time to do it that morning since my husband was home. It's just been one of those weeks!
With Justin being in the field all week, my Monday-Friday morning was pretty uneventful. Like I mentioned last week, I did a lot of reading. I really didn't even work that much if we're being completely honest. I almost felt like I needed a week to hide away and recharge. I'm happy to report that I'm feeling refreshed and oh so happy that my husband is home so hopefully that means a productive week to come!
A few things I've been loving this week:
French Roast Otto - R. Riveter just launched their new fall/winter line and I think these are my favorite colors yet! They were nice enough to send along the Otto in French Roast (which is funny because I had just been thinking how much I needed a brown one) and I was so surprised at the color when I opened the box! It's a beautiful color that's perfect for fall but can also work with your wardrobe any time of the year. Seriously go check these beauties out and don't forget that you can always use my code RRDARRIAND at checkout for 15% off!
These shorts from Target - I've mentioned a few times that I'm moving towards a lean wardrobe and recently I've been on the hunt for the perfect black shorts to add to my wardrobe. Y'all know that I hate wearing shorts most days but living in Georgia, it's kind of a must. So when I found the black shorts pictured above at Target I was thrilled because they're literally the perfect short. They're soft, comfy, and can easily be dressed up or down. Did I mention that they're also only $17.99? I loved them so much that I went back and got them in the khaki color as well. Seriously saying "see you never" to the rest of my shorts. PS: I'm wearing a Medium for size reference.
The Girl in Cabin 10 - It took me only a few days to finish this book that was highly recommended by a lot of people. It's definitely an easy read and perfect for summer days spent near water but I will say that I don't think it quite lived up to the hype. I enjoyed it but it wasn't as suspenseful to me as The Woman in the Window was which I think is the reason why I was a little let down by it. PS: I'll be working hard this week on putting together an official AM Coffee Collective Book Club so if you have any book recommendations for what we should read in September, let me know!
Also, if you haven't signed up for Coffee Break, the official AM Coffee Collective newsletter, or joined our Facebook community, what are you waiting for? The Facebook Community and Coffee Break gals will be the first to know about any exciting changes happening (hint: like the book club).
