Sweet and Sour Turkey Meatballs- Crockpot and Casseroles Link Up
It’s that time again for Crockpots and Casseroles! If you’re new, this is a link up with my friend Jessica at Gingham and Lattes! Today’s Crockpot recipe is super simple. I mean the hardest thing you have to do is cut up some peppers. That’s what I call a good meal. Serve alongside rice or pasta for a more rounded dinner! This recipe can also be adjusted to be made in the Instant Pot!
The Ingredients:
1 bag of frozen turkey meatballs
3 large bell peppers (I like to mix up the color but any will do)
1 can of Pineapple chunks
Crushed Red Pepper flakes to taste
The Recipe:
Roughly chop peppers, add meatballs, peppers, and pineapple (with juice) to crockpot.
Cook on high heat for 3-4 hours and low for 6-8 or until meatballs are tender and no longer frozen.
Top with crushed red pepper flakes and serve with rice or pasta.
The Rest:
Growing up I remember there being some sort of sweet and sour meatball dinner that we would eat occasionally but no one could ever seem to remember the recipe when I asked so I kind of made up my own. This is definitely a simple crockpot recipe that I like to have in reserve when I know there’s going to be a busy week ahead. These sweet and sour turkey meatballs are also a great idea if you need to bring a dish to a large gathering and make great finger foods served alongside toothpicks!
