I don't know about Y'all but I'm definitely the type of girl that loves any excuse to get dressed up. But I get particularly excited to dress up for one of Justin's West Point class events. Â Saturday night, we got dressed up to celebrate the USMA Class of 2018's 100th Night banquet! 100th Night celebrates 100 (or less) days until graduation and is a pretty huge moment.Â
The 100th Night banquet is a little different because it's typically semiformal and the cadets get to wear suits! Justin looked so handsome in his suit and tie. When I was choosing my dress for the evening I struggled to find something I felt would flatter me, not be too cold, and would be something I could ultimately wear again.Â
Enter, the perfect LBD from Eliza J.Â
COAT Who What Wear at Target (looks sold out, similar here) | DRESS Eliza J Lace Fit & Flare Dress (comes in regular and petite, I'm wearing 6P) | SHOES Marc Fisher Zala Pump | EARRINGS SUGARFIX by Baublebar Beaded Drop Earrings (sold out online, simliar here) | BAG Quilted Crossbody Bag - A New Day
I have been raving about Eliza J dresses for a while now, especially if you follow me on Instagram. I think I've ordered three or four dresses from the brand in the last few months. As a petite woman who also has curves, it can be so difficult for me to find dresses that are not only petite fitting but are also flattering to my curves. What I love about this black lace Eliza J fit and flare is how comfortable it was! I felt confident the entire night and know this is a style that will be in my closet for years to come.Â
I paired it with the Marc Fisher pumps that I wore to my winter bridal shower which is seriously my new favorite brand of shoes. They are so comfortable and I was able to walk around West Point all night without my feet killing me which anyone who knows West Point knows is a feat! I actually love this brand so much that I bought a pair of the wedges for spring and summer.Â
As for accessories, we all know how obsessed I am with Target. My bag, earrings, and coat were all from Target! I'm a huge supporter of the fact that one higher priced item can elevate an entire look so don't be afraid to pair items from places like Target with a more expensive item!
My favorite part of the night, aside from celebrating Justin's accomplishments with the rest of his classmates, was the 100th Night Show. The 100th Night Show is a satirical musical production entirely produced and acted by the class. I've heard a lot of bad things about the show over the years but I could not stop laughing the entire time!Â
We are definitely trying to soak up as much as we can these last few days at West Point. It's crazy how quickly the years go by. We rounded out the weekend in New York City which isn't something we do very often so stay tuned for a full recap on our 24 hour NYC adventure as well!
